Special Friends/Sharing Program
Special Friends create relationships of trust and use creative approaches to share God’s grace and love. The Special Friends program provides spiritual enrichment for Marygrove residents ages 6-13. Volunteers who serve as Special Friends work with children to learn about and find God in personal discussions, art activities, group exercise and other creative ways. Each Wednesday evening, Special Friends visit the residential cottages to share experiences that bring God’s loving presence to life. These evenings add an important dimension and support to a young person’s journey of personal growth and well-being.
